The local heavyweights, however, did not clarify which of the outstanding issues have been resolved with the federation.

AFC Leopards have confirmed that disagreements between them and Football Kenya Federation (FKF) have been resolved.

Recently, Ingwe were at loggerheads with the federation over the chaos that erupted at Bukhungu Stadium on Sunday, April 16 during a Premier League match against Kakamega Homeboyz.

The melee saw the FKF disciplinary committee order Ingwe to play their matches behind closed doors, and the club was further fined Ksh500,000.

Ahead of the Mashemeji Derby, the local heavyweights have confirmed that the differences they have with the football governing body are resolved.

"We are pleased to announce that, thanks to the intervention of the Ministry of Sports, differences between AFC Leopards and FKF have been ironed out amicably," a statement by AFC Leopards read on Saturday.

"We are happy to inform you that we have resolved all the issues that were causing concern, and we are now continuing to move forward."

The Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Ababu Namwamba, revealed he had asked FKF to lift the ban in order to allow Ingwe to have supporters on Sunday when they take on title-chasing Gor Mahia.

However, it remains to be seen whether Leopards’ fans will show up at Nyayo Stadium, as they had urged one another – through their branch caucuses – to boycott the second league meeting between their club and K’Ogalo.
