Trucha has urged his team to give their best efforts against Tusker FC, highlighting team improvement, fan support, and competitive spirit for the upcoming match.

AFC Leopards head coach Tomas Trucha has emphasized the importance of his team delivering their utmost effort in the upcoming FKF Premier League match against Tusker FC set to take place at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Sunday afternoon.

Coming off a convincing 2-0 victory over Nzoia Sugar at Nyayo Stadium last weekend, Ingwe looks to maintain their momentum against a resurgent Tusker side.

"It's a big one. Tusker FC is back on track with a very experienced coach always hungry to beat AFC Leopards. For us, this match is a litmus test to gauge the progress of our project and how high we can soar on the log this season," Trucha told the club portal.

Acknowledging the competitive nature of the league, Trucha emphasized the necessity of pushing every player to their limits.

"Competition must be on every position if the club wants to fight for the title. We still have some work to do to achieve balance in the team, but all players are doing a good job in training and matches, putting me under pressure every day on who to play," he added.

Despite acknowledging areas for improvement, Trucha remains optimistic, citing the positive atmosphere within the camp as a key factor in their recent success.

"The mood is good because of the results we've been achieving. We know we still have some big room for improvement, but with good results, it's easier to motivate players to work hard for the next match. We respect every opponent in the FKF-PL as we work towards winning our match," he stated.

In a call to action, Trucha urged AFC Leopards fans to turn out in large numbers for the match, emphasizing the importance of their support.

"Come in numbers and let’s paint the stadium all blue and white. We are happy that more and more fans are coming to watch our matches. When we scored our first goal in our last game against Nzoia Sugar FC and the entire stadium went into a frenzy, we all felt how special our fans are," he said, underlining the motivational boost provided by the fanbase.

Currently sitting seventh on the FKFPL log with 34 points, 16 points behind the league leaders and arch-rivals Gor Mahia, AFC Leopards have shown resilience and ambition.

Since the start of the year, they have only dropped two points in a barren draw against Kakamega Homeboyz at Bukhungu Stadium.
