Uganda Cranes head coach Multin Micho Sredejovic has revealed Cranes' preparation roadmap ahead of their must-win final 2023 AFCON qualifier against Niger.
According to Micho, who summoned a provisional 33-man squad, the local-based players will first feature in a regional tour in Luwero before reporting to camp on 28th August.
"The summoned local players, apart from those at Vipers, KCCA FC, Wakiso Giants and Soltilo Bright Stars, who have the Super 8 this weekend, will play a regional tour game in Luwero before returning to their clubs," Micho noted.
"Training will resume on 28th August, and on 2nd September, we expect to have an international friendly to test the competitiveness of the local players."
The final 23-man squad is expected to convene in Marrakesh between September 3rd and 4th, before facing Niger on the 7th at the Grand Marrakesh stadium.

"We are going to have three training sessions in Marrakesh from where we shall have the moment of truth, the test of character and measure of value and a chance to make Uganda proud as we try to qualify for AFCON."
A delightful Micho added: "I am happy a number of the players (Ochaya, Mugabi, Awany, Muleme) are back from injury; we are going to do our best to prepare the team; our target is to qualify for AFCON."
The Uganda Cranes are in Group F and sit third on four points, three behind neighbours Tanzania, who face Algeria.
Uganda hopes to win against Niger, while the Desert Foxes beat the Taifa Stars to seal qualification in Ivory Coast.
