With coach Rulani Mokwena pulling the strings from the dugout, the excellent Brazilians defended stoutly till the end to complete the job and become the first-ever winners of the AFL.
Sundowns go home millions richer
Following their win, Sundowns not only lifted the giant AFL trophy for their efforts but were rewarded handsomely.
The Brazilians will go home richer as the prize money for the winners is capped at $4 million, which is over four billion Naira.
