Moses Muhangi, the president of the Uganda Boxing Federation, has been a focal point of contention in the lead-up to the elections.
The African Boxing Confederation's (AFBC) Extraordinary Congress in Durban set to decide the next president of the federation has been postponed.
The decision follows a heated disagreement regarding the nominee list for the top role.
In a communication sent out today, AFBC Secretary General, André Basile Kalong, relayed the unexpected news to the 50 Member Federations.
"The postponement is motivated by the difficulty most delegates have in obtaining visas and the uproar caused by the disputed publication of the list of definitively selected candidates," Kalong elaborated in his letter.
