Ahimbisibwe had been snubbed on numerous occasions by former head coach David Obua, who was sacked last week, but returned to score twice at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.

Ahimbisibwe, whose last league start had come in URA's 2-0 defeat to Vipers SC in November last year, repaid the trust od caretaker head coach Robert Mukasa.

His first came in the seventh minute as squeezed in a hardly struck shot in a tight angle to hand the Tax Collectors the lead.

The former UPDF FC striker then added his second two minutes after restart with a header via an Innocent Asiimwe deflection.

It made it six goals of the season for Ahimbisibwe in the Uganda Premier League.

Meanwhile, URA bounced back to winning ways after a three game losing streak (four without victory) in the league.

They now sit eighth with 34 points after 24 games. They will host Busoga United in their next match on May 1.

On the other hand, NEC, who are fifth, missed a chance of going within one point off the leaders Kitara FC, who have 44 points.

In their subsequent game, the Diehards will host second-placed BUL FC at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on April 24.
