According to reports, this dastardly attack claimed no fewer than 112 lives, with 47 said to be injured.

What Ahmed Musa said

Through Christmas and today, Boxing Day, Nigerians on social media have sent commiserating messages to the communities affected, while calling on the authorities to take action and cease what has been a trend of attacks on communities in that region.

Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has joined in the condolences as he called on Nigerians to come together to banish hate and violence.

“I am standing against the violence in Plateau State,” he said on X.

It's heartbreaking to witness the recent violence in Plateau State. My thoughts are with those affected.

“We need to stand together against hate and violence. Let love and understanding prevail. Together, we can make a difference. Let us show love to one another.”

Meanwhile, Ahmed Musa has attracted negative comments from some members of the Muslim faith after he shared a picture of his Cross River wife, Juliet Ejue, and wished Christians a merry Christmas.
