Meanwhile, leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, who edged Cotonsport 2-1 in their final group game, accumulated 14 points. The latter on the other hand rocked the base without a single point.
With no point in the group, Cotonsport had the worst tally in the 2022/23 edition, with Uganda's Vipers SC on two points, following closely.
