AlNassr were unable to overcome ten men Al-Wehda as they lost at home by a goal to nil in the King Cup Champion.

Cristiano Ronaldo led his team out in the King Cup Champion as they seek to overturn a poor run in recent games. However, they were subdued by 10 men Al-Wehda who inflicted another defeat on AlNassr

The only goal of the game came from Jean-David Beauguel the Al-Wehda striker who slotted home an acrobatic finish in the first half. Al-Wehda went on to get a red card in the second half but AlNassr could not utilize the one-man advantage and get back to winning ways thereby inflicting their second defeat in a row to Ronaldo’s team.

How it happened

Cristiano Ronaldo leads the attack for AlNassr who are looking to bounce back from their defeat to fourth-placed Al-Hilal in the Professional League. They face Al-Wehda in the King Cup of Champions in Saudi Arabia.

The game started with Ronaldo almost opening the scoring for the home side. A cross came in from the left and Ronaldo met it at the back post. He makes a good connection, but it's saved from six yards out by an impressive Munir Mohamedi.

Shortly after Ronaldo’s miss, Al-Wehda took the lead in the 25th minute with a stunning goal. The goal came from a mix-up between Alaqidi and Gonzalez as the defender headed the ball and was met by an acrobatic move from Al-Wehda striker Jean-David Beauguel and into the net.

The second half started with the home side looking for an equaliser. The home team created some chances but could not convert them. In the 55th minute, Al-Hafith was handed a second yellow card and sent off for hacking down Ronaldo.

In the 94th minute, Al Nassr were hoping they will be given a penalty but the VAR review did not deem it fit to be a penalty as the final whistle was blown.

Cristiano Ronaldo and AlNassr have now been eliminated in the semifinal of the King Cup of Champions.
