Kenyan prodigy Aldrine Kibet shines at CECAFA Under 18 Championship by winning Golden Boot.

Spain-based sensation Aldrine Kibet has clinched the Golden Boot award at the CECAFA Under 18 Boys' Championship.

Kibet's remarkable performance in the tournament left fans and football enthusiasts in awe as he netted three times, finishing two goals clear of his competitors, Humphrey Omondi and Louise Ingavi.

The 17-year-old attacking midfielder, who currently plies his trade at the Nastic Academy in Spain, showcased his extraordinary talent throughout the tournament.

Kibet's journey to claiming the coveted Golden Boot started with a bang as he scored in each of Kenya's three group games.

In the tournament opener, Kibet contributed significantly to Kenya's 5-0 thrashing of Sudan, finding the back of the net and setting the tone for what would be a memorable competition.

His prowess continued as he scored the only goal in a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Rwanda.

Kibet completed his hat-trick with a brilliant strike against Somalia, helping Babu's boys secure a 4-1 victory.

The fans who flocked to Kisumu were not only there to support Kenya but also to witness the extraordinary talents of Kibet.

Despite his young age, he has become a household name in Kenyan football, inspiring aspiring young footballers nationwide.

Kibet's incredible journey does not stop at the CECAFA Under 18 Championship.

Back in Kenya, he made waves with St. Anthony's Boys Kitale during the school games season.

Incredibly, Kibet scored 25 goals and provided 27 assists, playing a pivotal role in securing St. Anthony's Boys Kitale's record-breaking sixth national title at the Kenya Secondary School Sports Association (KSSSA) games in Kakamega.

Kibet's football idol is none other than the legendary Argentine, Lionel Messi, and he proudly supports Arsenal.

Throughout the tournament, Kibet was not alone in dazzling the crowd.

He was joined by his talented teammates Tryon Kariuki, Louis Ingavi, and captain Amos Wanjala, who all showcased their skills and entertained the fans with their exceptional performances.

Meanwhile, Tanzania secured a 3-1 victory over Rwanda to claim the third spot in the CECAFA Under 18 Boys' Championship, bringing an end to an exhilarating tournament.
