Under the floodlights at Craven Cottage, Fulham Football Club qualified for the next round of the Carabao Cup with Nigerian duo Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey in fine form.
Alex Iwobi got off the mark for the club while Calvin Bassey showed his brilliance as Fulham overcame a scare to beat Norwich City 2-1 on Wednesday night.
Both summer signings proved pivotal as Fulham sealed a spot in the next round of the English cup after a hard-fought victory against their Championship visitors.

Iwobi stars for Fulham
In a dominant performance from the home side, Fulham took control of the match early on when Vinicius put them ahead in the 12th minute.
With 18 minutes to go, Nigeria’s Iwobi doubled their advantage with his first goal for the club since his move from Everton in the summer.
The 27-year-old attempted three shots, had 64 touches and made five recoveries in 90 minutes.
However, the spotlight didn’t belong to the former Everton playmaker. His compatriot, Bassey, also had a beautiful outing as he demonstrated his exceptional talent.
Bassey spent 83 minutes on the bench, leaving the opposition players trailing in his wake. He impressed with his impeccable reading of the game which saw him win four interceptions.
He also orchestrated moves with 87 touches on the ball, with six passes into the final third. He made two blocks, and four recoveries and completed 88% of his passes.
While Norwich City made the final 15 minutes an intense one after Borja Sainz pulled one back, the home side held on for the narrow win.
