Algeria, Senegal, Mali and Burkina Faso have a chance to seal early qualification on match day four of the 2023 AFCON Qualifiers.
Up to four teams could seal their qualification to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier after round four which started on Sunday and run through to Tuesday 28th March.
Algeria could be the first on Monday if they beat Niger at a neutral ground inside the Hammadi Agrebi Stadium in Tunisia.
The Fennec Foxes lead Tanzania (4 points), Niger (2) and Uganda (1) with nine points and a win could confirm their place at the Ivory Coast finals early next year.
“It's a decisive match; we can qualify [early] which is a very good thing. It's not always easy to qualify as we've experienced in the past but we will therefore try from this match,” Djamel Belmadi, the head coach of the Algerian team remarked.
Lions roaring
Senegal will also look to replicate the form that saw them thrash Mozambique 5-1 in Dakar last week to get any sort of victory over the same opponent in Maputo on Tuesday.
With nine points, seven and eight ahead of Rwanda and Benin in the bottom half of Group L, the Lions of Teranga need only three or even one in case the latter two draw in Kigali on Monday.
Elsewhere, Mali and Burkina Faso will be looking for a win away to Gambia and Togo respectively to grab one of the two slots available in Group G and B.
