Team captain Allan Kayiwa attributed the triumph to the collective effort of the squad and the unwavering support of the fans.
"We are thrilled to secure this away win; it wasn't an easy feat. I would like to extend my gratitude to my fellow players and the coaching staff for their cohesive teamwork, which allowed us to claim all three points," Kayiwa expressed to the club's media.
He went on to appreciate the fans, often referred to as the ‘12th man,’ who made the journey to Jinja. Kayiwa emphasized the motivation that stems from such strong fan support.
"As players, we are deeply humbled by your presence. We hope this continued support serves as a driving force for us to perform even better,” Kayiwa.

The promising Alpha Ssali, Express FC's poster boy, made his league debut for the Red Eagles, donning the number seven shirt and playing for 65 minutes before being substituted by forward Seif Batte.
Head coach James Odoch shared his satisfaction with the team's progress, particularly their improved ball control in the second half of the match.
He commented: "This win was much-needed, and I'm pleased to see that we made significant improvements compared to our previous game. Our ball control, especially in the second half, was more assured. If we maintain this level of play, we have a good chance of winning upcoming matches."
The goals that secured the victory were scored in both halves, with Allan Kayiwa netting the first from the penalty spot at the 16-minute mark, marking his and the team's first goal of the season.

Majwega, released by KCCA FC in June, had initially reached an agreement with cross-town rivals Express FC.
Busoga United defender Steven Odongo added to Express FC's tally with an unfortunate own goal in the 71st minute, marking his second own goal of the season, following his first in the opening game against NEC FC.
James Odoch's squad will face Soltilo Bright Stars in their next fixture on October 21, 2023, at the Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
