"We will see when they play – not sure for Inter, hopefully for the City game," Maresca stated, as quoted by Chelsea's official website.
He emphasized the importance of these players, saying, "They are so important. In terms of numbers, Cole and Nico scored almost 40 goals, so they are both very important.
Maresca's comments underscore the crucial role these players are expected to play in Chelsea's quest for success this season.
After finishing outside the Premier League top four last season, the goal will be a swift return to the upper echelons of the table and Maresca will be banking on another big season from Palmer, who scored 25 goals in all competitions last term.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are close to signing Atletico Madrid striker Samu Omorodion.
The 20-year-old scored 8 goals in 34 appearances on loan at Alaves and was honoured with the LaLiga Player of the Month award for February.
