Express last won a UPL game on November 16th, 2022, they beat Busoga United 3-0 at Kakindu Stadium.

Substitute Musa Aluma Oscar netted late to help UPDF FC salvage a point at the expense of Express FC in a nervy 1-1 Uganda Premier League stalemate played at the Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku on Saturday.

The Army side netted a few moments after Allan Kayiwa had given the Red Eagles what had looked to be the first league win in eight matches.

Express last won a UPL game on November 16th, 2022, they beat Busoga United 3-0 at Kakindu Stadium.

On Saturday, though, it all looked like a dull sunny afternoon in the capital as both sides struggled to master a single threat in the first half.

The game only opened up as Kayiwa broke the deadlock in the 75th minute, a superbly taken diving header off Joshua Musoke's well weighted cross.

Following the stalemate, Express are now ninth with 18 points and will return to action on February 26th against fellow strugglers URA FC.

Meanwhile, UPDF have stayed glued in 13th with 11 points and will face Busoga United on March 3rd in their subsequent encounter.
