Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti hit back at Gerard pique after his comments on Los Blancos's 2021/22 Champions League triumph.
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has fired back at Barcelona legend Gerard Pique after the former defender’s disparaging remarks about Los Blancos’s last Champions League win.
The 35-year-old was an integral member of the great Pep Guardiola Barcelona side that won two UCL titles in exceptional fashion, beating Manchester United in alternate finals.

What Pique said
The Kosmos founder is of the opinion that the Barcelona teams that won the Champions League were iconic sides and claimed that Real Madrid’s UCL triumph in the 2021/22 campaign was a fluke.
“Madrid’s current team is just more of the same. They don’t offer much but they get results, and when February comes around, they’ll still be in with a chance of winning every competition, including the Champions League, of course.
“When we win, we are remembered forever. When they win, it’s just one more. Their last Champions League victory was a miracle because they were second-best in every round and nobody will remember it.”
Ancelotti fires back
Ancelotti shepherded Real Madrid to their 14th league title and was having none of Gerard Pique’s statements. He stated that nobody will forget their UCL triumph, and on their own part, they will remember it forever.
"Piquè's words? He lives in his own world. No one will ever forget our 14th Champions League title. We will remember it for all our lives."
