Andrea Pirlo has been sacked as manager of Turkish Super Lig club Fatih Karagumruk in his first season in charge.
Andrea Pirlo sacked again
Pirlo signed a one-year deal last summer to take charge of Karagumruk. The goal was to try to take them into European places but with the Turkish top-flight season almost over, the Legendary Italian has been removed from the manager's position, with the club sitting in ninth place.
In a club statement on Twitter, Fatih Karagumruk said:
"Since we can't continue with Mr. Andrea Pirlo and his staff next season, we gave them permission to leave soon hoping it will give them a chance to plan their future.
"We will also use the remaining time in the most effective way to first win all of our games and then plan our future accordingly."
Pirlo's first management job was at Juventus, but he was sacked after the 2020-21 season because of the team's poor performances in the Champions League and Serie A.
