The player announced that he was leaving the club on Friday, just hours after the club revealed their preseason plans.

KCCA FC wingback Brian Majwega has joined the list of those departing from the MTN Omondi Stadium.

The player announced that he was leaving the club on Friday, just hours after the club revealed their preseason plans.

“It has been a great honour to play in this jersey, but I have to say goodbye to the family and teammates,” Majwega posted on his social media handles Friday afternoon.

He added: “Thanks for the platform KCCA FC you gave me, and thanks for grooming me. I will always support you in all ur (your) endeavours.”

Majwega joined KCCA for his second stint in 2021, following a spell at URA FC.

He has also featured for Tanzanian side Azam FC.

The former URA FC player leaves two days before the start of preseason and now joins a list of players leaving Lugogo.

Team captain Benchamin Ochan and defender Geoffrey Wasswa are also said to have failed to reach an agreement with the club to extend their stay.

KCCA has uncharacteristically been quiet in the transfer market, with no big names coming in.

It is not clear yet where Majwega will end up playing in the next football season.
