Less than a day after left-back Richard Matovu confirmed his departure from Arua Hill SC, the club has lost another defensive kingpin, Bright Joseph Vuni.
The central defender, who can also play as a defensive midfielder has announced his departure from Barifa Stadium after two years as a Leopard.
"Today I say goodbye to a magnificent club as it is Arua Hill SC," the defender started as he bade farewell via his social media platforms, on Friday.
Vuni leaves the Kongolo after the expiry of his contract, with the two parties deciding against renewal.
"I want to thank the club for helping me become a better footballer and for making me feel at home during my time here."
"After this year, I can only say thank you to the club, to the fans that have supported me since the first day I wore this jersey and of course thank you and good luck to my teammates..." he added.
He joined from UPDF in 2021, forming a decent partnership with captain, Rashid Toha who is also set to leave as he runs out his contract at the end of June.
Vuni, who was among the nominees for the defender of the year in the 2021/22 season, was hampered by injuries in the previous one, limiting him to just 12 league appearances.
Overall over the past two seasons, Vuni has played 32 times for Arua Hill, notching two goals in the process.
