Former Kitara FC midfielder Moses Sseruyidde becomes the latest Ugandan football to cross borders to the Southern neighbours.

Sseruyidde has reportedly signed a two-year contract with Rwanda's Police FC. He joins the Rwandan Cops as a free agent from Kitara FC.

He was one of the key players in Kitara's FC promotion campaign to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

Rwanda's football league attracted Uganda's breakout stars from last season, including SC Villa's 2022/23 season top scorer Charles Bbale, StarTimes Uganda Premier League Golden Glove winner Simon Tamale who joined compatriots Joachim Ojera, and Musa Esenu at Rayon Sports.

Other notable Ugandan footballers in Rwanda include Taddeon Lwanga and Muzamir Mutyaba. Rwanda giant APR FC also lifted their decade-long ban on foreign players.

At the same time, the Federation of Rwanda Football Association (FERWAFA) recently increased the foreign player quota for Rwanda Premier League clubs to up to six foreign players at a given match.
