The Barcelona star recently confirmed he's a huge fan of Afrobeat and has added Burna Boy's 2022 smash hit to Spain's World Cup playlist in Qatar.
Barcelona forward Ansu Fati is has since been touted as one of the future stars of the Spanish National team.
The 20-year-old attacker is currently with La Furia Roja in Qatar as they hope to win back their World Cup title in Qatar.
Ahead of Spain’s round of 16 match against Morocco on Tuesday, December 6, Fati has made no secret of his love for music and has named Afrobeats as one of his favourite genres.
In a quick interview with Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, Fati was asked was the style of music he likes and the Barcelona star was quoted to have said, ‘Style of music I like? Afrobeats, reggaeton, and pop.’
He was further asked to name a song that he added to the Spanish National team’s playlist, and he answered saying, ‘Last Last by Burna Boy’.
‘Last Last’ is the lead single of Burna Boy’s 2022 Grammy-Nominated album ‘Love Damini’.
The song which currently has over 170 million plays on Spotify and over 125 million views on YouTube, is understood to have come about following his breakup with British-Jamaican rapper, Stefflon Don.
In the song, Burna Boy addresses some of the struggles he faced in his relationship and how the breakup affected him while he sought solace through weed and booze to deal with his emotional damage.
Burna Boy is not the only Afrobeat artiste Fati currently enjoys listening to. The Barcelona star is also a fan of Nigerian singer Omah Lay, and the pair have already linked up earlier this year.
Fati is currently with the Spain National team as they prepare to face Morocco in a crucial round of 16 World Cup clash on Tuesday.
The 20-year-old Barcelona star has only made one appearance so far in the World Cup, featuring in Spain's only defeat at the tournament against Japan in their final group stage match.
A win for the 2010 champions will them book a place in the Quarter finals against either Portugal or Switzerland.
