According to Gabriella Cavallin, she had suffered abuse from Antony starting in July 2022, a month before he signed for Manchester United from Ajax, and noted that the couple's problems were down to the Premier League star’s jealousy.
Speaking in an interview with Brazilian outlet UOL, Cavallin recalled the first time that Antony allegedly attacked her in a car and threatened to throw her out of a moving vehicle while she was pregnant, saying, "He said that if I didn't stay with him, I wouldn't stay with anyone. I told him that I was pregnant, that he was scaring me, making my heart race. I was shaking with fear."
That incident was allegedly caused by a video of Cavallin in a nightclub and reportedly sparked a series of events that caused the influencer to fear for her life.
4. Antony’s jealousy is allegedly the trigger behind his vile actions

Cavallin alleges that Antony is a 'jealous' lover, and it is this jealousy that seemingly triggered him to launch attacks on her over her personal dealings.

Since the allegations of domestic abuse emerged, Antony has blatantly denied the accusations by Gabriela Cavallin.
However, he did not deny that there was indeed “verbal altercations” between himself and his ex-girlfriend.
The former Ajax winger first put out a statement via his Instagram story last month stating that is innocent.
In a post on his social networks, Antony wrote as reported by Daily Mail:
“For you, after submitting my statement at the police station where the investigation involving my name is being conducted, I wanted to speak publicly for the first time since I was falsely accused of assault.

“I stayed silent until this moment so that nothing could interfere with the investigation process, but during all these days my family and I suffered in silence.
“Despite being born and raised in a very needy community, I have never been through a situation similar to this, in which a false assault charge resulted in a preliminary and unfair public judgement on the part of some.
“After the closure of the investigation, my innocence will certainly be proven and justice will prevail. The damage initially caused to my image will be in the past.
“Thank you for the countless messages of support received at this very difficult time.”
However, the news of his possible prosecution further made the headlines this week, and the player was forced to put out another statement on social media.
This Monday, Antony once more took to his Instagram stories to release a statement which read as translated from Portuguese: “Out of respect for my fans, friends and family I feel obligated to speak publicly about the false accusations I have been a victim of”.

“From the beginning I’ve handled this issue seriously and with respect, providing the due clarifications to the police authority. The police inquest is under cover of justice, therefore I cannot make its content public.
“However, I can say with 100% confidence that the accusations are false and that the evidence already produced and more to be produced show that I am innocent of the accusations made.
“My relationship with Ms. Gabriela was tumultuous, with verbal offenses from both sides, but I never practiced any physical aggression.

6. Cavallin did not push for Antony’s arrest as she only wants a restraining order against the footballer

According to reports in Brazil, DJ Cavallin insists she doesn’t want any financial compensation from Antony as more evidence emerged amid her allegations of assault against the footballer.
Cavallin is understood to be only pushing for protective measures against the Man United and Brazil winger in a bid to formally distance herself from the player.
Although, according to Cavallin's attorney, Vanessa Souza, quoted by UOL, the Manchester United player might be charged with up to three distinct felonies in England.

In an interview with UOL, as reported by Daily Mail, Souza said, “The sending of threatening messages, the fact that he locked her in the house and domestic violence - with the displacement of the breast prosthesis and the injury to the fingers - are actions classified as three different crimes in England.
“I was contacted through Gabriela's lawyers in Brazil to represent her interests with the Crown Prosecutor Service (England prosecutors) and the Manchester Police.
“I initiated contact with the legal sector of Antony's team and they were surprised. They are very respectful of these British bodies and treat it very seriously.”

The screenshots obtained by UOL also show alleged correspondence between Antony and Cavallin, where the Manchester United star accused his ex-girlfriend of ridiculing him and trying to destroy his life, while other messages were of the Brazil international apologising for unbecoming behaviour.
In one of the Screenshots, Antony allegedly tells Cavallin: “It’s over between me and you, I hope you go and die and go f*** yourself.’

Sources close to the DJ, revealed that Antony often policed Cavallin over her social media activities especially when she liked pictures of other male celebrities on Instagram.
Despite the turbulence, the two resumed their relationship after Antony returned from representing Brazil at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, but things got worse from then on.

Antony, who arrived at Manchester United for £84m last summer is facing accusations of assault made by his former girlfriend, Gabriela Cavallin.
The seriousness of the allegations have also caused Brazil to drop Antony for their World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Peru.
The Brazilian Football Confederation statement read:
“As a result of the facts that have come to light, and which need to be investigated, and in order to safeguard the supposed victim, the player, and the Brazilian national team the CBF have withdrawn [him] from the squad.”
United could now take the same action that was applied in the Mason Greenwood case in 2022, after the England forward was accused of domestic abuse.
