Anyembe's Viborg overcame Manchester United's Champions League opponents FC Copenhagen on Saturday.
Daniel Anyembe’s Viborg fought hard to overcome FC Copenhagen in a Danish SuperLiga match played on Saturday afternoon to move to seventh place in the league standings.
The 24-year-old has been out since October, nursing an injury that effectively ruled him out from playing for Harambee Stars against Russia, Gabon, and Seychelles.
However, his teammates did him proud by overcoming Copenhagen, who have been performing surprisingly well in their Champions League group this season.

STARS ABROAD Harambee Stars winger’s future at Bradford looks bleak as he stays on the bench four games in a row
Although he has scored a goal and registered three assists in all competitions since arriving, the Leeds United academy graduate has been used sparingly since the departure of Mark Hughes.
For long periods, the green-blues had difficulty getting out of their own half, and in the 12th minute, it was only a strong save from Lucas Lund that prevented Lukas Lerager from putting Copenhagen ahead.
As the match progressed, VFF were able to push the game a little further into the pitch, but it was the visitors that had more attempts, although a solid Viborg defense kept the Copenhageners from more than half chances.
In the 38th minute, the visitors went ahead when Elias Achouri received the ball on the right before cutting the ball back to the onrushing Mohammed Elyounoussi who poked the ball into the back of the net.

The Harambee Stars speedster came on as a substitute but could not do much to help Exeter avoid a heavy thrashing.
Viborg however equalised five minutes into the second half through Isak Jensen, who resolutely smashed the ball into the back of the net to make it 1-1.
FCK tried to respond again after the equaliser, but the VFF's stood up well and also started to bite back offensively.
Several times, the FCK defense had to make last-minute tackles to prevent great Viborg chances.
The biggest opportunity fell to Jensen again when, in the 70th minute, he was played through on the edge of the area but failed to connect the ball properly.
