KCCA FC’s motivation to beat Abu Salem FC in their play-off CAF Confederations Cup qualifier could not be any higher than it is currently, according to midfielder Arafat Usama.
The Kasasiro Boys host the Libyan club at the St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende on Saturday evening, in the second leg of their qualifier, with KCCA chasing to overturn the encounter.

And KCCA head into the game hoping that they can get the right result that will see them return to the Confederations Cup money bracket for the first time since 2018.
Obviously, [spirits] are high in regards to what we are facing,” Usama told Pulse Sports ahead of the game.
“And of course, there is no bigger motivation than knowing what it means when you win that game on Saturday.”
“We are much more prepared, because we know the load that we are going to face, and we know how heavy it is, of course we know the possibilities and rewards of us progressing.”

This will be KCCA’s third game of the new season under manager Sergio Traguil. Unfortunately, both previous games have ended in defeat for the side.
The Kasasiro Boys followed up that 3-1 defeat to Abu Salem with a 1-0 defeat to BUL FC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
It is an enormous load that the Lugogo based side have to move along. They will need to win by two goals for them to progress.
However, in the even that Abu Salem score a goal, then they will need to score at least four goals to progress on aggregate or win 3-1 to push the game to spot kicks.
