The Gunners were on the verge of a calamitous defeat before they fought back to draw with Southampton.
Mikel Arteta has dismissed suggestions that Arsenal are Premier League title bottlers.
The Gunners dropped points yet again after drawing 3-3 against Southampton on Friday at the Emirates, but extended their Premier League lead to five points.
The six-goal thriller came after previous matches when Arsenal were unable to get wins against Liverpool and West Ham United.
With City hot on their heels and Arsenal dropping points at a critical juncture, Arteta has dismissed the bottler's tag.
"Obviously, the concern is just turning around at this moment, some players if they are in doubt. Get those doubts away and prepare for the game in Manchester to win the game," Arteta said after the match.
"In football, you go through moments when you make errors, or you are not in a good moment. You have to come away from that, and [the players] reacted throughout the game.
"It's not that they bottled the game and said, 'OK, it's nothing to do with me', and they hide. I haven't seen anybody hiding. They were really willing to do more."

The Cityzens and the Gunners will soon face off in what is seen as a the Premier League race decider.
The Spaniard also stressed that there is no lack of confidence in his camp: "I don't see a lack of confidence," he continued.
"When a team lacks confidence, normally players start to hide at certain moments. I didn't see a single player doing that, they took risks and took the initiative.
"That is why we created the chances we created; that is why we got back to 3-3 and should have won the game. The confidence is there."

With Manchester City snapping on the Gunners' heels, Mikel Arteta's men dropped valuable points for the third game in a row against a spirited Southampton side, having to come from behind to draw 3-3 at the Emirates Stadium.
After getting a point from the jaws of defeat against the struggling Saints, the Gunners will next face City at the Etihad, where they have not won since 2015.
"I cannot wait," he said, when asked about the trip to the Eithad.
"These are the games you want to play. When everything is at stake, you have to go there to win. The game will be prepared for that, that is for sure."
"We have to cut the mistakes, do all the simple and basic things much better. After that, we will win games again because we deserve to win the games if it's not for those moments."
City have lost just one of their 15 Premier League games at the Etihad.
