Arsenal are reportedly confident of sealing a club-record transfer move for West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice this summer.
As reported previously by Pulse Sports, Declan Rice is Arsenal’s first-choice target ahead of next season and Mikel Arteta has reportedly urged the club to break the bank to acquire his services.
Arsenal to battle Manchester United for Declan Rice
According to the Telegraph, Manchester United are also monitoring the situation with a view to engaging in the bidding process.
However, the report states that Arsenal are favourites at this stage to land the England international and have even begun discussions with West Ham as Arteta looks to reshape his midfield for next season.
West Ham will not sell Rice for less than £90m and will insist on having a large chunk of that paid upfront.
