During an interview with Arsenal media as reported by Football London, Timber said, “For me, it doesn't really matter, I think that I'm lucky to say that I can play as a central defender, as a right full-back, sometimes even on the midfield. So I think that's a good thing and I need to keep that.
The former Ajax defender has admitted that he can play in multiple positions and it doesn't really matter to him.
On making a move to Arsenal, he said, “I just like the way Arsenal play, is a bit similar to Ajax’s style and I like to play from the back. I can see a lot of similarities, especially in the way Arsenal and Ajax want to play.”

Besiktas submitted a transfer offer for Arsenal defender Rob Holding but the Gunners will reject the offer according to reports.
He said as reported by Football London, "I really had a sense that it had to be a team that plays in the right way. A club that has the right values.
