The Premier League title race looks set to go down the wire as Arsenal and Manchester City are close to each other on the table.

The 2023/24 Premier League table and race are setting up for a pulsating finale as Arsenal and Manchester City remain separated by just a single point at the summit with a few games remaining.

Mikel Arteta's Gunners reclaimed the top spot on Sunday after edging out Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford, 24 hours after defending champions City had thrashed Fulham 4-0 to briefly go level on points.

Arsenal vs Manchester City: Tight Premier League Table

Despite what the Premier League table says, Pep Guardiola's men do still have a game in hand against Tottenham which could yet prove decisive in a barnstorming run-in between the two pace-setters.

As it stands, Arsenal sit top on 86 points with City tucked in behind on 85 having played one match fewer in a remarkably tight tussle for Premier League glory.

The two title contenders are streaking clear of the chasing pack, with Liverpool seven points adrift in third as they bid to secure Champions League qualification.

At the other end, all three teams that were promoted to the Premier League last season, Luton Town, Burnley and Sheffield United have all returned to the Championship as the relegation battle takes shape.

But all eyes will be trained on events at the summit in the final week as Arsenal and City go head-to-head in one of the most enthralling Premier League climaxes in living memory.

Arsenal's nerve-shredding 1-0 success at Old Trafford made it five successive top-flight victories as the Gunners continue to lead the way in pursuit of a first title since 2004.

Yet City's relentless winning machine has not let up either, with Guardiola's men now unbeaten in 33 matches across all competitions following their Craven Cottage cruise.

The remaining fixtures could scarcely be more contrasting - Arsenal host struggling Everton while City entertain West Ham in a game that brings to memory City’s first win under the current ownership.

With so little to separate them over the course of an epic 10-month campaign, predicting the outcome of this year's Premier League remains as difficult as ever.

But one thing is certain - drama, tension and twists are all but guaranteed in what is shaping up to be aTitle Race for the ages over the next two weeks.
