Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will need a healthy squad as he attempts to hold off the challenge of Man City and lead the Gunners to a first Premier League title since 2004.

Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah has returned to training following a short spell out dealing with an ankle injury.

He has been absent from the side for the last five Premier League matches, having last played against Everton on March 1.

Mikel Arteta received a boost on Tuesday when Nketiah returned to training ahead of Arsenal's crucial London derby against West Ham.

Arsenal fans have grown to appreciate Nketiah’s impact, especially over the course of the season.

As Gabriel Jesus recovered from a knee injury that forced him to miss 14 matches in the Premier League, Nketiah stepped in to fill in for the Brazilian international and did an excellent job.

The striker has made 23 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring four goals including a brace during a victory over Manchester United on January 22.

In other injury news for Arteta's men, it is still unclear when William Saliba will resume training after sustaining a back injury during the club's Europa League exit against Sporting CP on March 1.

After showing a remarkable level of fitness and consistency, appearing in 33 games in all competitions this season and scoring three goals, the 22-year-old defender has been unable to play in the Gunners' last three matches.

Arsenal drew 2-2 with Liverpool at Anfield to breathe new life into the title race for Manchester City and Arteta’s men cannot afford to stumble against West Ham this weekend.
