Arsenal are reportedly putting plans in place to announce a new long-term contract for star winger Bukayo Saka.
Bukayo Saka has been in talks over a new deal with Arsenal for several months but is now reportedly just days away from finally putting pen to paper on a new deal.
Saka set for new Arsenal deal
Saka, 21, has played a pivotal role in the Gunners’ title challenge this season and is the only Premier League player to reach double figures for goals and assists at this stage.
The England international has scored 13 goals and contributed 11 assists as Mikel Arteta's men led the way for almost the entirety of the season. Despite falling off the pace a little bit, the Gunners are still in the title hunt heading into the final weeks of the campaign.
Saka has missed just an hour of league football this season and also hit three goals at the World Cup as England made it to the quarter-finals in Qatar.
Excellent news for Arteta
Arteta will be delighted at this development with Manchester City reportedly sniffing around Saka as a potential long term Riyad Mahrez replacement.
According to The Independent, promotional footage to be released alongside the announcement has already been completed and it is a matter of working through the finer details before the deal is finalised.
