The Gunners' forward limped off as England suffered a shock loss to Greece
Star forward Bukayo Saka was taken off injured as England fell to a shock 2-1 defeat to Greece, leaving Arsenal in a precarious situation as their Premier League title challenge hits a huge snag.
Saka injured on international duty
The Arsenal forward was forced off early in the second half of England’s loss to Greece after being injured in the move that led to the visitor’s opening goal.
Saka was immediately taken off for Chelsea’s Noni Madueke and limped off the field, giving the Gunners an almighty scare.
Without Saka, England went on to lose thanks to a double from Greece captain Vangelis Pavlidis, which cancelled out Jude Bellingham’s late eqaliser.
Arsenal worry over Saka injury
The England international’s injury could put a wrench in the works of Arsenal’s push for a first Premier League title in more than 20 years.
Saka has been instrumental in Arsenal’s unbeaten start to the Premier League season, providing seven assists for Arsenal, the most of any player in the league so far.
He has contributed to nine goals in seven games, helping the Gunners reach 17 points, only one behind league leaders Liverpool, and will be sorely missed.
