Uganda Premier League outfit Arua Hill SC is poised to recommence the advancement of the Arua Hill Mini Stadium and Business Park.
Jaffer Aita Joel, President of Arua Hill and the driving force behind the project, recently affirmed the forthcoming continuation of construction in a statement to the Daily News network.
"We are gearing up to resume construction activities," Aita shared.
Originally initiated in 2019, the construction on this establishment situated on Plot 1-7 Pakwach Road in Arua Central division was initially scheduled for completion within three years.
However, unforeseen challenges, including the impact of COVID-19 and other undisclosed factors, have led to delays in the stadium's finalization.
The envisioned Arua stadium complex will encompass residential and commercial components and a shopping mall.
Further facilities incorporated within the stadium's premises encompass a basketball court, as well as dedicated spaces for tennis, badminton, and volleyball.
As per the arrangement, the developer will manage the stadium under a 49-year lease agreement. Upon its expiration, the ownership will be transferred to the Arua City Council.
