While it's only a friendly match, the defeat is a whole image of the kind of off-season the Leopards are enduring.

It looks as though Arua Hill SC's troubles are not coming to an end anytime soon, as they keep piling one on the other.

The club lost their first preseason match 2-1 to Kawanda Select on Thursday.

While it's only a friendly match, the defeat is a whole image of the kind of off-season the Leopards are enduring.

To kickstart their unpleasant events, the club lost a number of players after failing to renew their contracts.

Players like Rashid Toha, Richard Matovu, Rogers Omedwa, Bright Vuni, Ivan Eyamu, Isaac Okello, Innocent Media, Innocent Maduka among others have departed.

The club has lost their hosting grounds, the Barifa Stadium to vandalism, and will thus play their home games away from home.

Also, Arua Hill's future in the Uganda Premier League has been cast in doubt after 49% of the shares got sold, with terms of holding less focus on league competitions.

They have also failed to submit full league licence requirements ahead of next season and risk getting axed to the FUFA Big League.

Their CEO, Pius Bamwange has thus departed the club, amidst the series of troubles.

In the ongoing transfer window, the club has bolstered the senior team with the acquisition of defender Nelson Mandela and the promotion of youngster Juma Muzamil.
