The Reds secure an important win, courtesy of goals from their two key players.

That's the end of our coverage for tonight. We will back again tomorrow for Nigeria's clash against Uganda and the El Clasico.

  • Jurgen Klopp on Liverpool's win: "We knew it would be a difficult game, we controlled the game in a lot of periods. There were situations rather than chances, we got in a rush in these moments. We got our rhythm back in the second half, we just had to be solid defensively and keep making chances.  "In general we did defensively well tonight, Diogo in the 10 was really important, the midfield was together, defensively we had a high line and won decisive challenges. Ali [Alisson] didn't have spectacular saves to make which was good. "We had a knock against Real Madrid, we played a really good first half then we started the second really bad. We looked a lot more stable today, we have to carry that on."

The draw for the quarter-final has just been made.

  • Manchester City v Burnley
  • Manchester United v Fulham
  • Brighton v Grimsby Town
  • Sheffield United v Blackburn
  • Meanwhile, in the FA Cup, there was a huge upset tonight after Sheffield United knocked out Tottenham Hotspur and Grimsby Town stunned Southampton at home.

  • Max Kilman was Wolves best player tonight, but the English man admits they could not keep up with Liverpool's pressure.  "It was a tough one, we started well, getting into half-time 0-0. We soaked up a lot of pressure but they got two goals. "It deflated us, the two goals, but we have to keep pushing. "We were playing against a top side, we'll try and put it right next game," he told BBC.
  • Fulltime: Liverpool 2-0 Wolves. Goals from Van Dijk and Salah keep Liverpool's hopes of top four alive
  • By the way, it is all over at Old Trafford and Emirates. Arsenal ran out 4-0 winners, while Manchester United came back from a goal down to beat West Ham 3-1.  What a finish from Garnacho.
  • I have to admit, Liverpool have not been at their best in this game, but the quality in their squad have bailed them out.
  • Make that two. Liverpool score their second in quick succession as Tsimikas' brilliant run put it on the plate for Salah. Just 120 seconds between the two goals.
  • 76'. GOAL!!!! Liverpool 2-0 Wolves
  • Just Nunez had a goal chalked off, Liverpool finally have their goal, courtesy of a close range header from Virgil Van Dijk
  • 74' GOAL!!!!! Liverpool 1-0 Wolves
  • Still no goal at Anfield. Nunez did have the ball in the back of the net, but it was ruled out following a VAR review after Jota fouled Kilman in the build-up. Promising signs nevertheless.
  • Well, Casemiro has just equalised for Manchester United. What a signing for United.
  • Meanwhile, at Old Trafford, we may be in for a shocking upset as West Ham have taken the lead, courtesy of a strike from Mohamed Said Benrahma
  • Second Half underway at Anfield. Adama Traore comes on for Pablo Sarabia. The Spain international's body is dripping body oil that will definitely make Elijah proud. Sometimes I wonder why he is yet become an ambassador for a baby-oil company.
  • What a season Saka is having. He makes a bit of history tonight again.
  • In the other Premier League game, Arsenal are comfortably ahead thanks to goals from their two youngsters.

Halftime: Liverpool 0-0 Wolves

  • However, nothing comes out of it as Nunez heads over. Klopp will definitely be disappointed with his side's display in the first half.
  • Four added minutes at Anfield. This has been a proper bore fest. Not just as boring as There will be blood. Liverpool have a corner, by the way.
  • Make that two. Gabriel Martinelli capitalise on a mistake from Everton to give Arsenal a 2-0 lead at halftime.
  • The goal that put Arsenal ahead. It could be vital at the end of the season.
  • 40'. GOAL!!! Arsenal 1-0 Everton. Bukayo Saka has just put Mikel Arteta's men ahead. At the moment, they are going five points clear of Manchester City
  • Back at Anfield, Wolves are forced into a first half change as Rayan Ait Nouri replaces Hugo Bueno.
  • At Old Trafford, David De Gea shares a nice moment with Sir Alex Ferguson after breaking United's clean sheet record.
  • Liverpool have struggled this season but their arch-rivals Manchester United are heading for the top under Erik Ten Hag. The Red Devils are unbeaten in their last 18 games at Old Trafford and will be looking to continue that against West Ham.
  • After a lively start, the intensity has gone down. It is like that in the other games too. This could be a long boring night.
  • Shors on target at both ends but both keepers are up to the task. Lively start at Anfield.
  • Meanwhile, a stray bullet or should I say a stray tweet has just hit La Liga. Apparently, Manchester United's and West Ham's jerseys are causing a little bit of confusion.
  • 1' Kick OFF. We are underway at Anfield
  • Six minutes before the action. Can Liverpool make a late push for the Premier League top four?
  • Last time these two met, Wolves ran out 3-0 winners. Tonight's clash is their fourth meeting this year, with both teams winning one each. By the way, we are underway at the Emirates and Old Trafford.
  • By the way, Liverpool are not the only one playing tonight. Arsenal are also in Premier League action against Everton while Manchester United take on West Ham in the FA Cup fifth round.
  • The team news are out. Ibrahim Konate returns for Liverpool while Nunez leads the line. Meanwhile, Wolves make just one change to the side that drew against Fulham on Friday night.
  • It has been a disappointing season for Liverpool. They are out of the title race and are on the brink of a Champions League round of 16 exit. However, they are still in within a chance of making the top four this season. But they need to start winning, starting tonight.
  • Meanwhile, Wolves are hoping to pull further away from the relegation zone. Julen Lopetegui's men are just three points away from the drop, so they are are not safe yet.
