Oshoala makes World Cup history with Australia goal

The goal after 72 minutes against Australia meant that the Barcelona Femeni star had now scored in all three World Cup appearances that she has made, adding to her goals in 2015 and 2019.

Oshoala’s strike against Australia added to her goals against Sweden in 2015 and South Korea in 2019, making her the first African woman to score at three different World Cup tournaments.

Oshoala continues to stake her claim as Africa's greatest female player with yet another record, and the two-time UEFA Women's Champions League winner will be hoping that she can take her performance against Australia into the latter stages of the competition to make more history with the Super Falcons.
