Bay FC general manager Lucy Rushton has expressed her delight at the club securing the services of Nigerian star Asisat Oshoala.
Pulse Sports Nigeria can report that Rushton described Oshoala as a top class addition after the Nigerian legend left Liga F for the NWSL in the United States.

Oshoala swaps Barcelona for Bay
The legendary forward ended an illustrious time in Spain following her move to the National Women’s Soccer League, NWSL.
As reported by Pulse Sports, Oshoala, who is fondly called ‘Agba baller’, agreed to put pen to paper with Bay FC, bringing to an end a trophy-laden five years at European giants, Barcelona Femeni.
During her time at the club, the 28-year-old became the fourth-highest scorer in Barcelona’s history after she scored an incredible 117 goals in 162 matches.
She also won two Champions League, four Liga-F titles, three Queen’s Cups, four Spanish Super Cups, and one Catalan Cup with the Barcelona giants.
Bay boss excited by Oshoala
Following the arrival of the six-time African Women’s football of the year, Bay’s general manager. Rushton, could hardly contain her excitement.
Speaking at Oshoala’s unveiling, she highlighted the striker's elite mentality, technical ability and prowess in front of goal as key assets for Bay FC. Rushton believes Oshoala's arrival represents an important step forward for the ambitious club as they target success in the NWSL.
"To have the opportunity to add a player of Asisat's quality experience and winning pedigree to our roster is an exciting and important day for the club and the NWSL,” Lucy stated according to a post by the club on X.
“She brings a top-class mentality to the field combined with pace and technical ability that allows her to lead the line, while also giving those players around her the license to be creative and thrive in space.”
She is confident the Nigerian's proven scoring record will continue in North America with Bay FC.
“Asisat is a proven goal scerer at the most elite levels of World football, and she comes here to continue that with Bay," the elated Rushton added.
