Manchester United are hoping to maintain their fine run but they face a stern test away to Aston Villa who are gunning for Champions League qualification
Erik ten Hag has a key decision to make in defence as Manchester United prepare to face Aston Villa on Sunday.
Man United team news
United cruised past West Ham last time out, extending their unbeaten run to five matches in all competitions, but it came at a price as Lisandro Martinez was forced off with a knee injury.
The centre-back will be out for at least two months, though United are confident he will return before the end of the season.
Luke Shaw is an option to shift into the centre of defence as Ten Hag considers how to replace Martinez, but Victor Lindelof is now fit and available again along with Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans.
There is concern over Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s fitness, with the right-back suffering a setback in training on Thursday.
“Aaron Wan-Bissaka today was training but then he dropped out, so I don't know in this moment where he is and what is the diagnosis,” Ten Hag revealed in his pre-match press conference.
“Hopefully he is not too bad.”
Should Wan-Bissaka miss out, Shaw appears almost certain to stay at left-back, with Diogo Dalot on the right of defence as the only other fit full-back.
Mason Mount and Tyrell Malacia are still not ready to return to the United squad, while Anthony Martial also remains on the sidelines.
There are unlikely to be any surprises in attack, with Rasmus Hojlund set to lead the line after scoring in four of his last five Premier League matches, and Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho also hitting form either side of him.
When and where to watch
The match will kick off at 7.30pm Keyan time and will be live on SuperSport TV.
