The young forward is clearly valued by Atletico Madrid, who are keen to keep him on their books
LaLiga giants Atletico Madrid have turned down offers exceeding €30 million (₦48 billion) for their promising young striker, Samu Omorodion despite keen interest from several Premier League clubs.
Omorodion’s successful loan spell
Omorodion, who spent the past season on loan at Alaves, has shown a glimpse of his potential during his time away from Atletico despite being deemed not yet ready for regular first-team action under Diego Simeone.
The 20-year-old striker joined Alaves for the season, and his stint in Vitoria-Gasteiz proved fruitful, as he made 34 LaLiga appearances, 21 of which were starts, during which he scored eight goals. This productive season has helped grow Omorodion’s reputation and market value, attracting attention from top clubs, particularly from the Premier League.
Atletico Madrid's future plans for Omorodion
Despite the rising interest and substantial bids for Omorodion, Atletico Madrid have no intention of selling the young talent according to Relevo transfer insider Matteo Moretto, who reported that the club’s board at the Wanda Metropolitano remains resolute in retaining the Super Eagles-eligible forward.
Omorodion is considered a valuable asset for the club's future, and the rejection of bids over €30 million suggests that Atletico Madrid sees the youngster as a key player who can contribute significantly in the coming seasons.
