Khalid Aucho will be one of few Yanga players set to miss the side’s dead rubber final CAF Confederations group stage game against TP Mazembe in Lubumbashi.

The Uganda Cranes assistant captain, who played a pivotal role as Micho’s charges picked up a vital 1-0 away win over Tanzania on Tuesday in the AFCON qualifiers, will be rested with Yanga having already secured a slot in the knockout stages of the competition.

In the same vein, CAF has confirmed the date for the CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup quarterfinal draw.

The African football governing body has set Wednesday, April 5th, as the date, with the draw set to take place at the CAF headquarters in Cairo.

Focus now shifts to the final group stage matches in both club competitions, with the CAF Champions League remaining with one slot to complete the eight clubs while the Confederations Cup has two more slots left to complete the puzzle.

CR Belouzidad, ES Tunis, JS Kabylie, Mamelodi Sundowns, Simba SC and Wydad Casablanca and Raja Casablanca are the confirmed quarter-finalists.

For the CAF Confederations Cup, ASEC Mimosas, ASFAR Club, Marumo Gallants, Rivers United, US Monastir and Young Africans SC will await the final two to complete the eight sides.

Moroccan sides Wydad Casablanca and RS Berkane are the CAF Champions League defending champions and CAF Confederations Cup, respectively.
