Aucho's return is a huge boost for Yanga, the combative holding midfield kingpin will be expected to boost the team's midfield with the absence of Feisal Salum who is still locked up in a transfer saga.
Young Africans SC fans can have a sigh of relief because 'Daktari wa mupira' Khalid Aucho is back in action.
The Uganda Cranes assistant captain hasn't featured for the Wanainchi this year due to an ankle injury he picked up in training just as the team had returned to training in early January.
Having missed two league fixtures, Aucho has now been given the all clear and is expected to start Saturday's home league game against Namungo FC at the Benjamin Mkapa stadium.
"I feel great and in good shape, I missed being out there with the lads and I can't wait go be wtih them again," Aucho told Pulse Sports.
"The team has been performing well even in my absebce and I hope my return can improve us even better," he added.
Coach Nasreddine Nabbi's charges have won their last five league outings but arch rivals Simba's 3-0 win over Singida Big Stars on Friday evening reduced the gap to three point gap between the two giants.
Aucho's return is a huge boost for Yanga, the combative holding midfield kingpin will be expected to boost the team's midfield with the absence of Feisal Salum who is still locked up in a transfer saga between his parent club Yanga and his suitors Azam FC.
