Leopards have played their last three fixtures without their fans.

AFC Leopards head coach Patrick Aussems looks to have sarcastically praised the federation for guaranteeing his players “safety” which has allowed them to give '200 percent' during recent matches.

Leopards were handed a three points deduction with their fans banned from attending four league matches as a result of causing unrest during their match against Kakamega Homeboyz at the Bukhungu Stadium a fortnight ago.

Leopards have since faced KCB and Bidco United in the league and Bandari in the cup. The fans were allowed to attend their cup quarter-final fixture played at the Kasarani Stadium on Sunday, but they boycotted the decision to attend it.

“I would like to thank the federation regarding the decision they made ten days ago which guarantees my players 200 percent motivation and guaranteed safety which allows us to express ourselves on the pitch,” Aussems said.

Quizzed about the challenge of having to face Kakamega Homeboyz in the semi-finals of the FKF Cup, the former Simba tactician insisted on taking it one game at a time.

“We have to play Ulinzi on Wednesday, then Gor Mahia after that. We have enough time to prepare for that game with three weeks remaining.”

AFC Leopards aim to get continental football with a win in the cup, but it will not be plain sailing.
