Barcelona legend Gary Lineker has weighed in on the future of Nigerian star Victor Osimhen.
The future of Napoli's star striker, Victor Osimhen, remains a hot topic. Touted as one of the world's premier forwards, Osimhen's spectacular performance in Serie A, where he was instrumental in Napoli's triumph with a stunning tally of 31 goals last season, has caught the eye of several top English clubs.

Lineker's Take on Osimhen's Potential Move
Gary Lineker, the renowned football pundit, weighed in on this buzzing transfer saga. When asked by Micah Richards on the Rest is Football podcast where Osimhen should head next, Lineker had a clear preference.
He stated, “I think I’d look at it and I’d go, at the moment, Arsenal. Obviously, we’re talking about everyone offers the same thing; that’s what you want, blah blah blah in your contract. I mean, to be honest, they earn so much now that you can just choose where you want to go. I would say, Arsenal are probably a centre-forward away from winning things.”
“Chelsea are a centre-forward away from becoming competitive again. Manchester United are a centre-forward away from improving, but they’ve still got a long way to go. If I were him, you want to go somewhere where you think you’re going to win things.”
Shearer's Agreement with Lineker
Alan Shearer, another football legend and pundit, concurred with Lineker's viewpoint.
The consensus among these experts seems to be that Arsenal, currently on the cusp of greatness, could be the ideal destination for a player of Osimhen's calibre. The Gunners, just a striker short of being a formidable force, present an attractive option for the Nigerian superstar.
It's noteworthy that Osimhen has recently renewed his contract with Napoli. However, the speculation around his summer move persists, with Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United all in the frame.
Each club, with its own unique appeal and project, offers a different path for Osimhen. Yet, as per Lineker and Shearer, Arsenal might just be the place where Osimhen can truly shine and contribute to a team on the brink of silverware success.
