"From what we gathered here, we're going to keep working on it for subsequent matches."
"I can't say it's a 2 points loss, it's a very big point for me. That one point have a lot of things it can do. Now we can go to Lafia to get our three maximum points.
"We have a complete team and a number of players that can come in and contribute their own quota. You can see today that flexibility in our recruitment really helped us. The boys that came in today really showed class. I think it is a very good development for the team by getting a very good development squad."
Akwa United boss praise Enyimba
With the draw, Enyimba sits at the top of Group A with four points, although risks the chance of dropping from the position on Thursday depending on the result of the remaining fixtures for the game week.
Speaking about their performance, Ayeni commended the maturity of the eight-time champions, adding that he had to do what he had to, to get a point off them.
"I give to Enyimba, a very mature side," Ayeni said, "highly rich in records in Nigerian football. But this is an era every coach has to go back and fashion out a strategy to get their points. Hopefully, when we go to Nasarawa, you'd see another rejuvenated Akwa United."
