Yamal, who is actively participating in Ramadan for the first time, has been advised by Barcelona to manage his diet carefully in the days leading up to games.

The club's head of nutrition, Silvia Tremoleda, will oversee Yamal's diet, ensuring he receives the necessary nutrients despite the fasting.

This approach is not new for Barcelona, as they have previously supported players like Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessie and Ousmane Dembele during Ramadan.

The club is also reportedly confident in Yamal's professionalism and ability to manage his responsibilities during this period.

Yamal's decision to participate in Ramadan is deeply personal, and influenced by his close relationship with his grandmother Fatima, who is currently on a pilgrimage to Mecca.

Despite moving into a flat near the Ciutat Esportiva, Yamal is said to reunite with his family at his uncle Abdul's house to break the fast together at sundown.

In a recent match against Benfica in Lisbon, Yamal was substituted after 56 minutes for tactical reasons, as Barcelona sought to counter Benfica's strategy.

The substitution was unrelated to his fasting, reflecting the team's strategic adjustments rather than any concerns about his performance.

Overall, Barcelona is supportive of Yamal's religious observance while ensuring that his participation in Ramadan does not compromise his athletic performance.

This season, the EURO best youngster has scored 11 and assisted 15 goals for Barcelona across competitions.
