Barcelona president Joan Laporta has confirmed that discussions are ongoing with Fenerbahce for the signing of their youngster Arda Guler.
A number of great clubs, including Barça, are vying for the services of the 18-year-old offensive midfielder, who is currently one of the most sought-after young prospects in Europe.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta revealed during a public appearance (h/t Mundo Deportivo) that the club and Fenerbahce are still in negotiations for the signing of Turkish wonder Arda Guler.
As reported by Romano Fabrizio on Twitter, Laporta said, “We are talking to Fenerbahçe for Arda Güler. All the top European clubs want him.
“Arda is a very young Turkish player and it's true that our scouting department has been following him for a long time.”
Guler's contract with Fenerbahce has a €17.5 million release clause as reported and the Blaugrana would prefer to pay in instalments.
Barcelona has viability plan approved by La Liga says Laporta
Laporta has also spoken about having a plan which would be approved by La Liga for Barcelona to sign players this summer.

While at the same time discussing Barcelona's overall success, Laporta said, “Winning six league titles in one season with six professional teams is a great source of pride.”
