Barcelona defeated Sevilla 1-0 thanks to a Sergi Ramos own-goal as the Blaugrana climbed to the top of the LaLiga and extended their 100% home record this season.
Lamine Yamal and Gavi were the stars of the show as Barcelona continued their unbeaten start to the season.
How it happened
Barcelona came into the game hoping to get back to winning ways after a frustrating 2-2 draw at Real Mallorca on Tuesday. João Félix and Lamine Yamal were the main men for the hosts and came close to breaking the deadlock when his fierce close-range strike rattled the crossbar from João Cancelo’s sublime through ball.
Sevilla carried a threat of their own though, and former Barça midfielder Ivan Rakitić saw his strong effort pushed away by Marc-André ter Stegen.
After a frustrating first half, Barcelona upped the tempo in the second pushing up in search of the opener.
The breakthrough finally came, after Sergio Ramos diverted the ball into his own net after Yamal headed a Ferran Torres cross back across the face of goal.
