Super Eagles-eligible George Ilenikhena made the Monaco team after his match-winning goal against Barcelona.
Monaco started the game brightly with their first attempt leading to the first goal of the game. Takumi Minamino displayed great vision and sent a pass to Jordan Teze, who showed brilliant composure inside the box to bury the ball from close range in the back of the net.
Le Havre got the equaliser in the 30th minute when Daler Kuzyaev collected a well-taken pass inside the box and netted into the bottom right corner, with the first half ending in a 1-1 draw.
The second started and Monaco took the lead when Eliesse Ben Seghir latched on to a precise through ball from Wilfried Singo before unleashing an unstoppable shot inside the right post.
The home side extended their lead with a George Ilenikhena beautiful pass that found Folarin Balogun inside the penalty area and took a shot into the right side of the goal.
Ilenikhena was superb for Monaco, as the title contenders defeated Le Havre 3-1 to maintain their perfect start.
