The Bundesliga giants have secured a rising star from Swedish club, AIK amid interest from top European clubs.

Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have secured the signing of Swedish sensation Jonah Kusi-Asare, a teammate of Collins Sichenje and Henry Meja at AIK Fotboll.

The 16-year-old prodigy, previously linked with Premier League powerhouses Manchester United and Chelsea, has become the latest jewel in Bayern's crown, as they reportedly opened their coffers to acquire the young talent.

The initial offer, standing at an impressive €5 million was swiftly rejected by AIK who held out for a bid twice that amount underscoring the immense potential they see in their rising star, as reported by the Swedish publication Expressen.

Negotiations continued, with several top clubs closely monitoring the situation.

Over the weekend, PSV Eindhoven's chief scout, Denny Spronck, personally attended a training match in Algarve, Portugal, where Jonah Kusi-Asare was in action in a friendly against Slavia Praha.

The highly regarded young striker had attracted attention not just from Bayern Munich but also from some of the biggest names in European football.

His journey to stardom began when he joined AIK Solna from IF Brommapojkarna in January 2023. In just 12 months, he has made remarkable strides in his development, capturing the hearts of fans and scouts alike.

Kusi-Asare's talent has not gone unnoticed by national selectors either, as he proudly represents Sweden at the under-17 level.

His debut for the national team was nothing short of extraordinary, as he marked the occasion with a dazzling performance, scoring three goals that left spectators in awe.

While the 16-year-old's ascent to prominence has been nothing short of meteoric, his journey in AIK's senior squad has been a work in progress.

Although he made his first-team debut early in the 2023/24 season, Kusi-Asare is yet to establish a firm foothold in the senior squad.

His four appearances have yielded only 62 minutes of playing time so far, but his potential continued to generate significant interest.
