The 33-year-old's contract was meant to expire at the end of the season, but Bayern are now said to have agreed to extend it for one more year, rewarding his stellar form that has cushioned the effect of Robert Lewandowski's exit.

Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Bayern Munich have reached a full agreement with Choupo-Moting for a season-long contract extension.
The report revealed that Bayern had prioritised his extension since November, and an agreement has been reached, awaiting official confirmation.

Choupo-Moting, whose current salary is £60,000 according to Salary Sport, is also set for a pay rise in line with his new advanced profile and importance at the club.
