The team has been in training camp in Malindi, in anticipation of the African Beach Games with a strong eye to qualify for the World Beach Games.

It is all systems go for the national women’s beach football team, who are set to showcase their skills at the African Beach Games in Hammamet, Tunisia, starting Saturday, June 24 after the opening ceremony on Friday.

The team has been in training camp in Malindi, in anticipation of the African Beach Games with a strong eye to qualify for the World Beach Games and also to make a significant impact during the competition.

Their participation in the Games marks a crucial step towards elevating the profile of women's beach football in Kenya as they aim for success on their debut.

The ladies' team coach Fathimi Hamisi expressed great optimism about the team's prospects in the continental showpiece, emphasizing their dedication and unwavering determination to make their mark on the tournament.

“We have analyzed our opponents and I can confidently say we are at the same level and I know our ladies will do a good job in Tunisia”, she said.

The women's beach football team consists of 10 players and one coach, while the men's team comprises 12 players and two coaches.

NOCK is confident that the diverse and talented group of athletes is fully prepared to represent the country with pride, demonstrating their exceptional skills and teamwork on the sandy pitches.

Meanwhile, the men's team, having gained valuable experience from the first edition of the Games in 2019, is eager to demonstrate their growth and improve on their fifth-place finish.

The team has been working tirelessly to refine their skills, strategies, and teamwork, with the goal of achieving a remarkable performance in Hammamet.
